DIY Felt Pins

Asalamu Alikum warhmathullahi wabrkathuhu Guys 💕

So yes, here I am making more felt pins (yay!).

Well there isn't much to explain for these. 

All you need is:

- Some felt

- Beads or buttons of any kind

- Embroidery thread

- A needle

- and some safety pins

First cut out a base for your pin (make sure to cut out two identical pices, cause you need to sew them together at the end), I just cut out circles in different colours. 

Then, I really just drew up a rough sketch on some paper and traced it on some felt. If your drawing has more than one colour, you may want to cut each part out of the drawing and trace them separately on the specific colours. 

- Pro tip: Use an erasable pen for tracing and then iron out the marks ☺️.  You can also use some water and white glue to stiffen your felt if it is too soft to cut out tiny details.

After your done with that, just place your cutout on the base felt and sew it on using some embroidery floss, if you want to add any beads or buttons, sew that on too. 

On the other base piece, cut out a small square that has the same length as your safety pin, then place the safety pin under the square and then sew it together (you can use the pic below for more clarity).

Alright, now just place the two base pieces together and sew them up. I used the blanket stich and went around the whole circle.

And that's it, you got yourself a really cute felt pin that you can put anywhere (I put mine on my school bag 😁). The best part, you can customize it and make whatever you like, just make sure that it screams you ✨️.
